Travel Feature: Dinner fit for an empress.

Hidden in a hutong where laundry is still hung out to dry and far away from the crowds of tourists is a restaurant owned by a family with lineage tracing back to the kitchens of the Imperial courts that once existed in Beijing's history.

We had more than 20 dishes for roughly $25 per person and each bite was more decadent than the next. You won't find this in Monterey Park, we guarantee.
